Your questions,
answered.
What is an EICR?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report records the findings of an assessment of an existing electrical installation, within the agreed scope and any stated limitations.
Are repairs included in an EICR?
Inspection and repair work are separate unless specifically included in the quotation. Remedial work can be discussed once the findings are known.
Will the power need to be switched off?
Some testing requires power interruptions and access to the consumer unit and electrical accessories. Mention any equipment or occupants that need special arrangements.
